A Flurry of Interest

Posted on 25th May, 2023

Every week before I write my blog, I look at my website stats - and what I have found over recent weeks has made me set aside what I was intending to blog about today and write about the sudden popularity of a particular page on my website.

My blog is far and away the most visited page, so I want to say a huge thank you to you personally for being here reading this. The second most visited page is the Welcome page. This is what I expect to find.

But for some unknown reason, one of my book pages has really taken off over the past month or so. I have no idea why. It just has. The number of page visits has more than quadrupled.

Why has The Deserter's Daughter become so interesting to my visitors? Maybe it's because of my recent signing with Bookouture to write for them under my Susanna name again. Who knows?

Whatever the reason, I'm delighted!

If you've never read it, here is the Amazon link. The Deserter's Daughter is also available on Kindle Unlimited.

Manchester, 1920.

Carrie Jenkins reels from the revelation that her beloved father was shot for desertion during the Great War. Jilted, and with the close-knit community turning its back on her as well as her mother and her half-sister Evadne, the plans Carrie nurtured are in disarray.

Desperate to overcome private shock and public humiliation, and with her mother gravely ill, Carrie accepts the unsettling advances of Ralph Armstrong and Evadne also meets Alex Larter. But both sisters put their faith in men who are not to be trusted, and they will face danger and heartache before they can find the happiness they deserve.
