Three Highlights: July 2023

Posted on 28th July, 2023

As the end of the month comes hoving into view, I'm taking a quick look back at three of July's best moments.

The Surplus Girls (book 1) has made it past 1000 ratings & reviews. Isn't that wonderful? Huge thanks to everyone who has left their feedback. It makes such a difference.

Here's the link to the series on Amazon UK. Books 1 and 2 are both available on Kindle Unlimited.

My next highlight is a wonderful review of one of my Susanna sagas - A Respectable Woman. It is from Nicola, who blogs at Short Book and Scribes. She says:

"Nell is something of s trailblazer for the time, ambitious and determined to succeed and make a good life for herself.... It had me hooked from page 1.... It is completely absorbing and I felt like I could step between the pages into a world that felt real."

Wow! If you would like to see the full review, here is the page.

I haven't got a photo to illustrate my third highlight because it'll be a while before there is a book cover! This week I had a Whereby call (like Zoom) with my editor at Bookouture to talk about my new Home Front Girls series. Book 1 is already written and I hope you're going to love it. Yesterday we confirmed the plot-lines for book 2 so I'll soon get started on writing that, and we also made some decisions about book 3.

All three books will be published next year. It's very exciting to think of them coming out so close together.

So that's July in a nutshell. I hope this has been a good month for you too. I'll see here you next week. xxx
